The Yang group is strategically situated in the Centre for Sustainable Material Process at Leicester.

The Centre, also known as the Material Centre, is comprised of four principal investigators (Prof. Andy Abbott, Prof. Karl Ryder, Prof. Rob Hillman and Dr J Yang) working in synergy to innovate, lead and revolutionise how the industry recycles technology-critical elements from industrial 'wastes'.
